About Me
Hi! I'm Kessie, founder of Honeybee Tutoring, an online reading and literacy tutoring service for children who need extra support to thrive.

I founded Honeybee Tutoring in 2025, bringing over 20 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mentoring learners, and documenting educational needs. That background shapes everything I do as a tutor - patient, structured, and deeply student-centered.
I specialize in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and writing, a research-based, multisensory method proven to help students with dyslexia, ADHD/ADD, and other learning differences build strong literacy skills and confidence.

I tutor students from Pre-K through 12th grade, offering personalized, one-on-one virtual tutoring tailored to each child's learning style and pace.

Proven results: One student doubled her reading fluency- from 29 to 58 words per minute - in just two months with our weekly reading tutoring sessions.*

*Results vary based on each student's unique learning profile and consistency.
